Tennessee for the New Year

We have been in Pigeon Forge Tennessee for a few days now, been having a great time.

We went to Dollywood on Friday, it was cold and in the early evening it started to mist rain.

We went to a number of the great Christmas shows at Dollywood and saw many craft exibits at the park.

Late Saturday afternoon we went to Cades Cove, we had snow flurries and saw qutie a few anamals out in the fields. Saw a large group of young deer playing and chasing each other in a field.

Sunday evening we went to the Dixie Stampede Dinner Show.

The dinner show was still the Christmas show and was a very good show that we enjoyed.

We are staying at a campground called Up the Creek Campground.

Up the Creek is a very nice smaller Campground with about 30 sites. It  is a few miles from Pigeon Forge up the Wears Valley Road.

We are far enough away from Pigeon Forge we have no noise or traffic problems.

Just a light snow, but we are staying warm and having fun.

We have a few more things we are going to do in the area before heading South next year.

Getting "Hitch Itch" again, ready to move !!!!

 The holidays are here and it has cooled down quite a bit in North Florida.

Starting to get things packed up today and ready to move on the 26th.
We are having my Birthday party this evening with family and fiends, looking forward to seeing everyone.
We will also get to enjoy Christmas with our Daughter and Son In Law on the 25th in the morning and my middle Brother In Law and his family in the afternoon.

On the 26th we will be moving to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. We are taking our time and only going from Tallahassee Fla to Cartersville Ga (Just North of Atlanta) on the 26th then from Cartersville Ga to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on the 27th.

We will be staying at Up the Creek Campground in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It is a smaller Campground setup for large rigs. They have no bathhouse or pool but do have wide deep sites that are not on top of each other.

After the New Year we will be heading to Milton Florida (Pensacola area) to work and spend time with my niece who is due to have her baby anytime now.

Back to "Home Base" for the Holidays with Family

We are back at our Home Base in Tallahassee from Orlando / Disney World for the Christmas Holidays.

The trip from Orlando to Tallahassee was smooth with no problems at all. We left Orlando around 9:00, arrived in Tallahassee about 1:30. Since we did not buy fuel while in Olrando, we stopped at the Pilot Truck Stop in Ocala, (Gotta love those high speed Diesel pumps on the Truck Lanes.)

Now that we are back in Tallahassee, we have company parties, friends parties and family parties to attend . :)

I have all my Christmas shopping done, still waiting on a few items that I bought online to arrive but all should be here next week.

We will enjoy Christmas with our Daughter and Son In Law here in Tallahassee.

We leave again the day after Christmas heading to Tennessee for a couple of weeks, we will welcome in the New Year in Tennessee.
