Flamingo RV Resort / Jacksonville Florida

We are currently at Flamingo RV Resort in Jacksonville Florida.

Nice park for a Urban Park, some road noise but not bad as we are on the backside of the park which is the away from the Interstate.

Will be here a few weeks, our local Tech had some medical issues and is recovering from the issues.
I am helping with local customer service while he recovers and gets stronger.

Only had to travel South as far as Daytona and North as far as Amelia Island so far.
This week I am heading up to St Simons Island so I will get a little further North.

Weather was quite cold here last week with the "Artic Vortex", we had temps in the mid 20s and had to disconnect our water line as it froze two nights.
We stayed warm and toasty, used the onboard fresh water tank during the cold nights, life is good.

We had a heavy rain this past Saturday afternoon / evening but all cleared out and we had a nice Sunday.

Flamingo RV Resort has a lake in the middle of it and quite a few trees on the side of the park we are on, Bale needs trees to aim at when he goes Pee Pee !!!

2014 is here, we are on the road again !

Well 2014 is here, Happy New Year to everyone.

After finding a cracked Wheel on our 5th Wheel and ordering a new set of stronger / heavy duty wheels, we got them installed on Monday after Christmas.

That was certainty an unexpected expense right here at Christmas but while replacing the wheels we found 2 more cracked for a total of 3 cracked wheels.

Cracked Wheel #2

Cracked Wheel #3 (Crack not Visible from front side)

New Hi Spec Heavy Duty Wheels

 .

We are on the road again today, heading to Jacksonville FL for a few weeks to help our local tech that has had some medical issues and is recovering. The Jacksonville market is a very busy area for us that covers North East Florida and South East Georgia.
Hope we have a safe trip with the new Wheels and New Years Day traffic. Should not be a bad trip as it is only about 150 miles to Jacksonville, it is a straight shot across on I-10.
