This is the first trip since getting our new 5th Wheel Hitch to replace our 10 year old Husky 16K 5th Wheel Hitch.
Our Husky hitch has served us well for 10 years but was starting to show some wear and tear from the miles and the near max load of our current Jayco Pinnacle 5th Wheel.
I bought a Curt Q24 - 24,000 lb. rated hitch.
I was looking at the Curt Q20 - 20,000 lb. rated hitch but the price difference was only about $25 and the 24,000 lb. rating matches our current GMC 3500HD's max tow rating.
The new Curt hitch is much smoother towing and has less movement than our old hitch, it locked and unlocked very easily.

There are a fair amount of families camping here this weekend, some people get Monday (Presidents Day) off for a holiday. Not me, work as usual !!!
We had a safe trip up from Tallahassee with no traffic problems or delays. We did see a couple of accident delays in the South bound lanes of I-75 but it was smooth sailing for us going north.

I'm getting around to reading blogs. We like this park, thanks for posting. I'm so glad the hitch is working out. Safe travels.
